We address two fundamental challenges in scaling modern data centers: poor memory utilization and poor FLOPS utilization. Both metrics typically fall below 50%, signaling substantial waste in capital expenditure and energy consumption.

Emerging interconnect technologies, such as CXL and UAL, offer unprecedented efficiency by enabling data sharing, direct cache access, in-network computing, and virtual networks all based on open standards. Our focus is on developing the software necessary to unlock their full potential.
