From 2000 he started working on Infiniband technology as a stand-alone contractor at Sun Microsystems, and later Oracle. From 2016 until 2021 Arnt Emil was engaged in founding and managing the floating solar company Ocean Sun.
In 2022, he co-founded deeptech company Scalemem in which he is currently holding the role as the CTO.
Helene Svelle
CEOHelene holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She has extensive experience from a wide range of software projects, primarily in a consulting role.
Previously, she held the role as the CTO at Milient Software, a Nordic tech company.
Helene has also been actively involved in several startups, contributing across both technical and strategic domains.
She is also annually engaged as an external examiner at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences in Oslo.
Gisle Dankel
Principal Software EngineerGisle has extensive experience in software engineering and performance optimization.
As a Distinguished Engineer at Graphcore (Dec 2021 – Dec 2022), he developed observability infrastructure for Graphcore's IPU-POD systems.
During his tenure as a Software Engineer at Facebook / Meta (Jan 2019 – Nov 2021), Gisle built infrastructure to systematically improve the efficiency of Facebook’s GPU fleet through detailed performance telemetry. Notably, he led the Kineto project, launching a CPU+GPU profiling library integrated into the PyTorch Profiler, enabling performance observability and diagnostics as a fleet-wide service.
Earlier at Facebook, as a Performance and Capacity Engineer (Jun 2017 – Jan 2019), he was a member of the CHIPS team focused on optimizing system performance across Facebook’s services.
Prior roles include Principal Software Engineer at a Silicon Valley startup (Jul 2016 – May 2017), where he developed a user-space TCP/IP stack.
At Intel Corporation (2012 – Jun 2016), Gisle worked on an x86 CPU architecture team, focused on hardware/software co-design of a dynamic binary translator and supporting ISA extensions.
His tenure at IBM (Nov 2008 – Jan 2012) involved leading roles in products like PowerVM Lx86 and AIX Active System Optimizer. As a Principal Engineer at Transitive (2002 – 2009), he contributed to dynamic binary translation products, including Rosetta (Apple OSX PPC to x86), QuickTransit Sparc (Sparc Solaris to Intel Itanium on Linux), and as tech and performance lead on PowerVM Lx86 (Linux x86 to IBM Power). Gisle's expertise encompasses JIT compilers, CPU and GPU architecture, virtualization, emulation, simulation and performance profiling tools.
He has been a key contributor to several commercial product launches as well as open source projects like Kineto. His leadership and innovation skills are evident in his ability to lead engineering teams, initiate and manage cross-org projects, and contribute to advancements in system performance and machine learning infrastructure
Amin Mohammad Farajianzadeh
Software EngineerHolding an M.S. in Computer Architecture from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), he is a software engineer with many years of hands-on experience developing robust and reliable software for a wide range of products in the data center, networking, and telecommunications domains.
Following his role as an R&D firmware engineer at ADVA Optical Networking, where he contributed to 100Gbps optical cross-connect modules, he joined Oracle as a senior software engineer developing Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) software for the Sun Data Center InfiniBand product line.
At Skala and later Graphcore, he led software development for the Board Management Controller (BMC) of the IPU machine product family, enabling streamlined management and monitoring of the machine, and supporting seamless integration of the product with Graphcloud and customer data center environments.
He has hands-on experience with data center management standards and interfaces and has contributed across the full firmware/software development lifecycle—from board bring-up to production deployment—on complex hardware platforms.
